The Quick No-Zip Crossbody is a fun crossbody bag which you can whip up really quickly, using only a small amount of fabric and minimal hardware. A testament to how quickly these bags can be sewn, is the fact that many of the testers made multiple versions. It is super addictive! Great for sew and sell!

The bag features a back quick access phone pocket, a hidden key pocket under the flap and inside the roomy main compartment is a card pocket which can hold multiple cards. A great bag for beginners and advanced sewists alike!

The Quick No-Zip Crossbody Bag makes up beautifully in a whole range of different materials including quilting cottons, canvas, vinyl, cork or leather. You can also use fabric with a combination of faux leather, cork or vinyl. Get creative with the flap with embroidery or other embellishments. Use all plain fabrics or all patterned. You are limited only by your imagination. This design is perfect for selling at the markets or in your online shop, Etsy and more. Perfect to hold all your essentials for your morning run or a quick dash to the shop.

With the video tutorial included, you won’t have any problems making this bag at all. Of course, if watching a video isn’t your thing, the pattern comes with my usual full comprehensive instructions with lots of photos. Full pattern pieces are included as well as cutting measurements for those of you who like to cut with a mat and ruler.

The pattern comes with written printing instructions as well as video instructions.

Pattern pieces are included for both shaped and rectangular pieces, as well as cutting measurements for rectangular pieces, so you can choose your preferred cutting method. Both Metric and Imperial measurements are included! All pattern files come in both A4 and Letter sizes for your convenience.

PLUS, a TEXT ONLY version of the instructions comes bundled with your pattern for printing purposes. This is great should you not need or wish to print all of the photos! Simply refer to your electronic versions for photos if needed! Saves on ink!

*Fusible Woven Interfacing: EzeFuse – 114cm (45”) Wide: 1m (1 Yard) Substitutes are DHJ501 or Pellon Shape-Flex SF101- 51cm (20”) Wide – 2m (2 Yards).
*Fusible Fleece (Referred to in pattern only as Fleece) – Matilda’s Own, Thermolam Plus or Vilene H640: 50cm W X 28cm H (20” W X 11” H)
*Decovil Light: 13cm W X 17cm H (5” W X 6 ½” H)
*Decovil 1 (Heavy), Peltex 71F, Fast2Fuse or TimTex or 2 layers of Decovil Light (Referred to in pattern only as Decovil 1): Scrap – 12cm W X 3cm H (4 ¾” W X 1 1/8” H)

NOTIONS:
*2 X 19mm (3/4”) Rectangular Rings for the Adjustable Strap
*1 X 19mm (3/4”) Slider for the Adjustable Strap
*1 X 18mm Slim Magnetic Snap OR 1 X Small Thumb Lock – 40mm high x 30mm wide (1½” x 1⅛”)
*Optional: 3 X Double Capped Rivets 6mm – 8mm (Stem) for the Adjustable Strap and 4 X 6mm stem for the Pockets. I recommend a 9mm cap size for the pockets, especially if you are using fabrics other than quilting cottons.
NOTE: You can try Chicago Screws as a substitute if rivets scare you!
Other Items:
Wondertape and/or Elmers Washable Glue, Tailors Chalk or Fading Marker, Fray Stopper, Hole Punches, Rivet & Grommet Setting Tools (if using), plus general sewing items and a hammer.
